How to Turn Off Google Forms

You might have sent out a Google Form for event registration, and now the event has ended. Or perhaps you set a time limit for people to complete an evaluation. There are just a few situations where the form is done, and no more responses are required.

  1. Sign in to Google Forms.
  2. Open Google Form if you want to stop getting responses or close
  3. Now click on the response button at the top of the form.

  4. In the main responses box, locate the “Accepting responses” button and toggle it to the off position. You will know you have turned responses off when you receive a message in red saying so.
  5. You can see a toggle button for “Accepting responses” in the first section of the response page. Turn off the button to stop receiving responses.

Once the “Responses” tab is disabled in your account settings, you’ll see a message reading “Not accepting responses.”
